This is my review of Ovation Cell Therapy

Hi! I’m Alison.  I started using Ovation Cell Therapy on 7-16-12 and I love the product so far! I was going to do a video blog, or “vlog” as some may say, but I don’t have the patience to edit, so here I am blogging!

Let me start off by saying that there is no substitute for healthy diet and exercise.  Healthy hair comes from the inside out! Eating right and drinking plenty of water and staying away from sugary drinks and snacks will do wonders for your skin and hair.  I myself do not drink soda or sugary drinks, I only drink water, and I really feel that along with the Ovation therapy, it is doing miracles for my hair.

Here is the box the product came in and the way the bottles look.  I also treated myself to the Thermal Protection Spray.

So far, I am happy with the product.  Of course, I have been using it for a little over two weeks so I myself do not notice any growth and I don’t expect a miracle but as far as the look and feel, it is AMAZING.  It is soft, shiny, manageable, smooth, and not frizzy.  There are a lot less fly-aways.

Here is how bad and crazy my hair looked before I started using Ovation.  And this is on a good day! It has actually looked much worse.  You see how fine/thin my hair is.

As thin as my hair is, you would think that it would take me 5 minutes to blow dry it.  But, as damaged as it was, it would take me 20-30 minutes and then it would frizz out and look just as bad as it would if I had let it dry naturally.  Using a flat iron did not help at all.  I could literally hear my hair cracking and frying! As you can also see, it has this crazy wavy, curly thing going on.  That is not natural.  My hair is naturally stick straight.  This is the result of 19 years of dying, blow drying, and using harsh shampoos.  I never knew until recently that most shampoos have sulfates, sodium, and paraben which are awful on your hair! Well, I knew the ingredients were there, I just didn’t know how damaging they were until I started using Keratin treatments.  Even the Matrix shampoo that I was paying $25 per bottle for was ruining my hair! After one day of using Ovation and the Thermal Protection spray, it literally took me 4 minutes to blow dry my hair.  I couldn't believe it.  I actually like to blow dry my hair now.

The Thermal Protection spray is incredible! It comes out in this mist that really covers your hair.  It smells great, doesn’t feel slimy or waxy or oily.  It tames every single fly away.  My hair feels heavy, but in a very natural, healthy way.  Not because it is weighed down by harsh chemicals, waxes, or oils you would find in those other brands.  I love the way it feels against my back and I can't stop touching it.  My husband calls me pretty hair :-)

Here is how awesome it usually looks in the morning right out of bed.  I haven’t even brushed it yet.  Before Ovation, I would wake up to this horrible mess of hair that was back to wavy and dry and I would have no choice but to at least wet it and start over or just rewash it.  It is very frustrating!  It was so bad. You could just see the damage and it was humiliating.  I never wanted to go anywhere nice because I didn’t know what to do with my rats nest of hair!

I have to be honest, though, so far, if I let it dry naturally, it hasn't quite calmed down the waviness, but again, I haven't been using the product for a month so I want to give it a chance to work.  I have resolved to blow drying every day.

This is a picture of today, August 2, 2012 which is day 17.  I haven't washed it yet.  I just left it from when I blow dried it yesterday.  Some of the waviness is trying to sneak out, but it is still very calm and soft and I felt comfortable leaving the house without washing, wetting, or running the iron through it.  What a relief because I woke up late and didn't have the time to fight with it!

The only disadvantage I have found so far is that you have to order it from California and I live in Florida, so it took 6 days to get to me and they don’t offer expedited shipping.  So that is a huge bummer for someone like me who has no patience.  And of course I would like for it to work faster LOL

Also PLEASE do not leave step 2 in longer than 2 hours.  On the weekend, I like to wash it and then put step 2, the Cell Therapy in and cover it with a plastic cap while I clean up the house.  Then rinse and apply step 3.  I read somewhere that you could leave it in overnight.  I did that one time, but it can harden your hair and I lost so much hair the next day.  I found out by reading another user’s blog that you can’t leave it in overnight.

I have heard that for most people the supply lasts 3 months, but since I have very fine hair, hopefully it will last longer.  I paid $107.00 total for the 3 steps plus the heat spray and shipping.  Very economical if you think about it lasting at least 3 months.  A fellow blogger says her supply lasted 6 months which is pretty great and I think I can get mine to last that long!  Plus, as a first time buyer, you fill out a very very short survey and get 10% off your first order.  I used my savings and went ahead and bought the Thermal spray.

All in all, I am very happy with Ovation and highly recommend that you give it a try.  I am going to do a year long blog.  My next photo will be from the 16th of August.  My birthday is the 12th and I would love to report some hair growth as that would be a great birthday present!

Good luck!
